We publish figures rather than adjectives. Every number on this page has a stated method and a stated boundary, because a green claim you cannot evidence is a claim you should not make.
The 2025 ledger
Method and boundary. B Corp score is the verified overall score from our recertification of 12 March 2024, certificate B-034812, next recertification due March 2027. The carbon figure is per traveller per trip across all 34 departures that ran in 2025, calculated to the GHG Protocol Corporate Standard for Scope 1, 2 and 3 in-country emissions — ground transport, accommodation, food and staff travel — and it excludes travellers’ international flights, which we neither book nor control on land-only bookings; the workbook is published in the impact report. Local supplier spend is the proportion of trip cost paid to businesses registered and tax-resident in the country visited, taken from the FY2025 audited accounts. Animal welfare covers all departures since 1 January 2019 under our written policy, which prohibits riding of elephants, camels and oxen and any captive-wildlife interaction.
Four things, written so that you could hold us to them. We have deliberately not written a fifth about "leaving no trace", because we could not measure it.
B Corp certified since 2021 and recertified on 12 March 2024 with an overall score of 96.4 under certificate B-034812. Recertification falls due in March 2027; if we fail it we will say so on this page rather than quietly remove the logo.
1.94 tCO2e per traveller per trip for in-country emissions in 2025, down from 2.31 in 2023, calculated to the GHG Protocol and checked by an external assessor. It excludes your international flights. We do not sell offsets and we do not describe any trip as carbon neutral.
78% of what you pay for a trip is spent with businesses registered and tax-resident in the country you are travelling in — guides, cooks, drivers, guesthouses, refugios and food. The figure comes from the audited FY2025 accounts, not an estimate.
No elephant, camel or ox riding, no captive-wildlife interaction, no performance animals and no wildlife approach closer than the national guidance in each region. In force since 1 January 2019 across every departure, with zero recorded breaches.
The full workbook, including emission factors and the supplier list, is in the 2025 impact report. This is the short version.

Certification numbers and assessment dates are printed here so you can verify them with the issuing body rather than take a logo at face value. We remove a mark from this page on the day it lapses.
