We run our own scheduled expeditions in Patagonia, Svalbard, the Karakoram and Kyrgyzstan. Every departure below has a real date, a real place count and a price that already tells you what is and is not in it. No enquiry form standing between you and the availability.

Updated every night from the booking system. A limited departure shows the exact number of places left, not a nudge.
Prices are per person, land only, twin share. A £600 deposit holds your place; the balance falls due 70 days before departure. The single supplement and the full cancellation charge scale by days-before-departure are printed on every trip page and in Booking Conditions v4.2. Departures run on minimum numbers — if a date has not filled we tell you no later than 90 days before departure and you take a transfer, a credit or a full refund, your choice.
How we run trips
The four questions every traveller asks us before they ask about the price. Answered here so you can compare us properly against the other three operators on your shortlist.
How many people are in the group?
Twelve maximum on every trekking departure, ten in the Karakoram. The 2025 average across all departures was 9.1 travellers. We do not add a thirteenth place when a departure sells out.
Who actually leads it?
A named Sixty North leader, on the trip page before you book, who has run that route at least twice. Wilderness First Responder revalidated every 24 months, plus a local guide and a local cook team employed directly.
How hard is it, in numbers?
A published seven-grade scale with objective figures: hours walking per day, metres of ascent, maximum altitude and nights above 3,500 m. Grade 4 means 6 to 8 hours and 800 m of ascent on the hardest day.
What happens to my money?
Flight-inclusive packages are ATOL protected under our own licence, ATOL 11482. Land-only arrangements are bonded with ABTOT under bond 5401. Deposits sit in a client trust account until the departure runs.

Everyone who answers our phone has led or travelled at least four of the routes we sell. Ask about the acclimatisation profile, the river crossings or the state of the huts in late season and you will get a real answer, not a brochure line.
