The version in force at the moment your deposit is taken is the version that governs your booking. Superseded versions 3.9 (1 Jan 2024) and 4.1 (1 Sep 2025) remain available on request and continue to apply to bookings deposited under them.
Your contract is with Sixty North Expeditions Ltd, registered in England and Wales under company number 08442617 at 14 Bartholomew Close, London EC1A 7BJ. We are the principal for every trip sold on this site — we are not acting as agent for another operator, and no third-party ATOL number applies to your booking.
Flight-inclusive packages are financially protected by the Air Travel Organiser’s Licence scheme under our own licence, ATOL 11482. When you pay you will receive an ATOL certificate; check that everything you booked is listed on it. Land-only arrangements, which are the majority of what we sell, are not covered by ATOL and are instead protected by our bond with ABTOT, bond number 5401, which refunds your money or repatriates you if we become insolvent.
Package bookings are protected under the Package Travel and Linked Travel Arrangements Regulations 2018. You will be given the standard information form setting out your key rights before you pay, including your right to transfer the booking to another person, your rights where we change a significant term, and your right to cancel without charge if the price rises by more than 8%.
Travel insurance is a condition of every booking. Your policy must provide a minimum of £2 million of emergency medical treatment and repatriation, cover for the activity grade of your trip including any trekking altitude stated on the trip page, and cancellation cover to the full value of your booking. We require the insurer, the policy number and the 24-hour assistance number 45 days before departure and we may refuse travel without them.

Prices are fixed in GBP once your deposit is taken, except for changes to transport costs, fuel, taxes or exchange rates. We absorb the first 2%. Above 8% you may cancel with a full refund.

Each departure states its minimum. If it is not met we notify you at least 90 days before departure and you choose a transfer at the same price, a 24-month credit, or a full refund paid within 14 days.
